| A group from the Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi
volunteered their time to lend a helping hand to
Hattie Martin Elementary by
helping to give the school a fresh look. The volunteers put in
several hours to help paint the 3rd and 4th grade restrooms
and clean the library. Pictured above are; Christopher
Watkins, Steven Mathis, Joshua Cain, AT1 FRC Mid-Atlantic Site
Corpus Christi Quality Assurance Naval Air Station as well as
Camanche Vasquez. Although not pictured above, Craig Reuter,
Fleet Readiness Center and Chief Robert Cotter, FATC AIMD Truax
Field, Avionics were responsible for initiating the groups to help
out as part of their community outreach program. Mrs. J.
Blackwell, school librarian, who oversaw the operation, said the
groups were efficient, capable, and so willing to help.
The Martin Spartans would like to
give a big THANK YOU to the groups who made trips to our school and
helped give it a fresh look
for our students!!! |
