Family Engagement

Family Engagement is a critical component of our 21st Century ACE Program.  Engaging families is beneficial to our youth, family members, programs, community and school district. Research shows that family engagement can:
  • Support participation in out-of-school time programs
  • Build communication and trusting relationships within families
  • Greater involvement in school events
  • Increased assistance with school work
  • Encourage reading
Holiday Literacy Family Night 2018 a huge SUCCESS!
Our district librarians, Parental Involvement, ACE staff, campus staff, NHS students, Culinary Arts Class and our partners from the Keach Library came together to provide an evening full of activities, literacy awareness and fun to support the district's literacy initiative. Our PK-3rd grade student's Holiday Read was " Santa's Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night Before Christmas" and the  Holiday read  for 4th -8th was "Young Scrooge."
Students and their families had the opportunity to participate at different stations that were planned activities based on the books!
Each student in attendance went home with the book!
