Mission

The maintenance department supports the mission of RISD by providing a good experience for faculty and staff, to teach, and work; students to learn, play, and perform extracurricular activities, through maintaining a safe, comfortable space inside buildings and on grounds.

Goals

1. Reduce unscheduled corrective maintenance by increasing preventive maintenance.
2. To minimize costs while simultaneously supporting a stress free, effective facilities maintenance system.
