Winter Weather Alert: Robstown ISD Monitoring Conditions

Robstown ISD is closely monitoring weather conditions. A notification will be sent by Sunday at 12 p.m. regarding any potential school closures or delays. Any additional updates will be shared through text alerts, district social media, local media and the RISD website.

The Robstown Senior Community Center, located at 415 Mainer Road, will operate as a continuous overnight warming center beginning Saturday, Jan. 24, at 5 p.m., through Tuesday, Jan. 27, mid-morning. The center will provide cots, food and beverages for those seeking shelter from the cold. Pets are welcome, and crates and pet food will be available.

CCRTA will provide free transportation to and from the warming center via Bus Route 34, Stop #1229 (GI Village Forum 1), located directly across from the Robstown Center. Service hours may be extended as needed to support transportation outside of normal operating times.

Nueces County will also have a van and driver available to assist individuals without transportation, weather permitting. Community members who need assistance reaching the warming center may call the Robstown Senior Community Center at 361-387-6396.

For additional assistance, residents may contact the Robstown Police Department at 361-387-3531.
