Child Nutrition Assistant Manager

Responsible for assisting the cafeteria manager in the supervision, training and management of the campus food service operation. Help manager ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. Meet time constraints set by the school menu requirements established by the Child Nutrition Office, which are required by T.E.A. Regulations; and must meet health codes promulgated by city and state agencies.

Education/ Certification:
High School Diploma or GED; must be certified as a T.S.F.S.A. Manager or be working to
upgrade their T.S.F.S.A. Certification to a T.S.F.S.A. Manager’s Certification and the Food
Manager Health Card Class.

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation. Ability to manage personnel and organize personnel schedule. Must have effective planning and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions well.

Experience:
Complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year as an assistant manager. Must have at least three years experience institutional food service operations. Must be able to operate a computer and have knowledge of cashiering.
