Robstown ISD Earns State’s Highest Fiscal Accountability Rating

Robstown, TX – At the Monday, December 9th school board meeting, Robstown ISD officials proudly announced that the district has earned a rating of "A" (94) for Superior Achievement under Texas' School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas). This "Superior Achievement" rating is the highest distinction awarded by the state, highlighting the district's exemplary financial management and reporting.

The School FIRST system's primary goal is to ensure top-tier performance in managing school districts’ financial resources, a critical objective given the complexities of Texas’ school finance system.

Eva Cisneros, Robstown ISD’s Chief Financial Officer, stated, “The A-rating reaffirms our district’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and exceptional stewardship of taxpayer funds. This accomplishment reflects not only the diligent work of our business office but also the collective efforts of every campus and department across the district. Their dedication and teamwork allow us to consistently achieve such outstanding ratings.”

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Marc Puig added, “We are exceedingly proud of the fiscal stewardship demonstrated by our board and business office. Moving forward, we will continue to invest strategically to ensure we are igniting brilliance, transforming lives, and empowering generations.”

This marks the third consecutive year that Robstown ISD has received an "A" rating under the School FIRST system, a testament to the district's ongoing dedication to responsible financial practices and transparency.
