Robstown Early College High School proudly celebrates senior Sonya’s official signing with Texas Christian University, where she will continue her musical journey as a French Horn player.
Sonya has played French Horn since 6th grade in 2018 and has earned top honors, including becoming a two-time Texas All-State Band member and two-time recipient of the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Outstanding Performer Award—a first in school history.
She is also the first RECHS graduate in over fifteen years to pursue music at a Division I university outside the Coastal Bend.
Sonya’s dedication and talent have paved the way for future generations of student musicians in Robstown ISD.
